How can I repair my bad credit without spending a lot of money to do this?

- Not sure, but don't pay one of those agencies that claim to help you repair your credit. They ripped me off!
- Take it one debt at a time. If you have like 4 credit cards to pay for concentrate on paying off one at a time by sending more than the minimum due each month until you your balance is zero. At the same time keep sending the minimum amount for the other 3 credit cards and once your done with the 4th card start sending more money to the 3rd card and send only the minimum to the 2nd and 1st.
- Go to annualcreditreport.com... pull a free credit report. See who you owe collections and judgements too and call them. If their info isn;t on the credit report, google the name of the company... If you do not owe the company on the credit B, annualcreditreport offers a free service to challenge the company at hand. If you do owe the money, read below. There are three options once you get ahold of the company.. 1. Pay in full and get it completely removed from your credit report. Once you have them all off.. your score will go up ALOT!! 2. Offer to pay 2/3rd and they will show on credit report paid in full, but it will not be removed and will keep your scores lower. 3. BIG HEADACHE: Try and challenge it with the company.. talk to owners, managers, get in contact with a lawyer to send the collection agency to threaten them. This will work sometimes, just act pissed and persistant. Other small pointers... Never close 0 balance credit cards.. cut the cards and forget about them. You will look better by having available credit with a low balance and it will raise your score... When shopping for things that require a credit check, MAKE SURE they only pull your credit once... many companies will pull several times. - You can do it on your own even without paying. Check this articles http://www.badcreditresources.com/fix-your-bad-credit.html http://www.badcreditresources.com/article-7-Better-Credit-Score.html http://www.badcreditresources.com/fix-your-bad-credit.html . I hope this will help you.
- Pay all your bills on time and try to pay off all your debt as quickly as possible. From http://www.acreditlibrary.com/buildcredit.html
- Bad credit seems hard to do but not really if you common sense. If you have something to use as collateral go borrow $100.00 on it. Hold the money(without spending it) and after 28 days pay back the loan in full+interest. Wait 30 days and go back to the same place and borrow $200.00 , wait 28 days and take the full amount back. This will give you credit. Make sure the place you borrow from reports to the proper agency. Most places give you 30 days to make a payment, you will be making yours early. Also make sure the item you borrow against is worth more than you borrow. If you can only get $25 or$50 that will work to.
- No credit repair company can do anything you can't do for yourself. It is impossible for a third party to make changes in your file if the facts have been correctly reported. There are individuals and companies that claim they can fix a bad credit file. This is not the case. Follow these simple guidelines to help restore and improve your credit score. First, make sure all the information on your credit report is accurate. Second, try to pay off all or any accounts that are currently in collections or make payment arrangements with the creditor to pay off the balance monthly. Third, any credit card that is over 50% of the available credit line should be paid down to under half of your total credit line. Your credit score is lowered when your available balance is over 50% of your total credit line. Finally, if you have bad or no credit and have no credit cards try to obtain two credit cards and make sure all of your monthly payments are made on time. This will help increase your credit score. If you cannot be approved for a unsecured credit card, obtain a secured credit card. Repairing your credit and improving your credit score is a slow process that takes time.
