I have a question about credit repair?

My credit score was low, very low because of some past mistakes in life. I have since corrected those mistakes and am in the process of trying to raise my credit score. I opened four, low limit, credit card accounts which I keep a near zero balance on and have always paid on time,(for 2 years). I have written "dispute letters" and had multiple items removed from my credit report. Yet my score has barely moved. Going up one month a couple of points and down the next. What am I doing wrong?

  1. well, credit cards are really not good to use if you cannot pay the full amount each month. Depending on the card, if you are unable to pay the full amount (e.g. leave even a cent unpaid), you get fined for that, and sometimes, the interest payment is big. It should be enough to use just one card. This way, it is simple to keep track of the payment dues. Secondly, you will have to learn how to spend less, in fact spend much much less, only on the necessities. Dont bother with trying to get more credit cards... Do the opposite. Live with one credit card, or if possible, none at all. You would need to simplify your life.
  2. well it depends on a lot of different factors. you should include more info in your question in order to get a more accurate answer.
