Does anyone know of a legitimate long term loan lender for bad credit?
I have made some mistakes with my credit and want to clean things up. I want a loan to pay off everything and have just one payment so that I can repair my credit. The problem I'm running into is that someone claims to be a legitimate lender and need money to transfer the funds or to send them western union and it turns out to be a scam.

- I honestly would not ask this question online. Go to your bank and tell them your situation. If they refuse you credit (which they may due to your bad credit), lay it on the line for them. Tell them you need to do this and you need them to give you a few recommendations. They may not have any for you...but then again, they may. It's worth a shot. If they really can't help you, ask friends and family who they have *already used* and *already have experience with*. But if you ask online, you run the risk of simply getting a lot of scammers who are trying to entice you to click on their sites so they can obtain and sell your information, or so that you can "bump them up" in a silly pyramid scheme that never really seems to make anybody rich in the end, etc., etc. If you really do want to look online for a creditor, be very, very, very careful. Do not click on ANY links that seem at all suspicious and do not believe ANY "testimonials"...get facts, get them in writing, get them ahead of time and never, ever give your personal information out over the internet. Go to see the lender and sit down with him or her (if the lender is legitimate, there will be an actual building, with actual employees). Good luck.
