Credit Repair
Is there a legit company out there than can repair credit?
I have heard about credit repair companies that can get negatives off your credit report but have heard that there are alot of frauds out there too. So has anyone actually tried one that works?

- Do it yourself. Nolo Press has a book on "Credit Repair." Either buy it or go to the library. Also, a great book is "Good Credit is Sexy." I wouldn't pay anyone to do it. It would cost too much. Good luck.
- The only true repair for legitimate bad debts/late payments/etc is time. Anyone that tells a consumer that they can make that default on a credit card go away is committing fraud. Now, if you have items on your report that are not correct, you can fix them yourself by contacting the credit agency. If you get a copy of your credit report online there is usually an option for each item to dispute the validity.
