  1. I haven't found any that can. The only way I know of is to hire an attorney that works in this area and work with them. There's no quick way in order to fix your credit. The best way is to pay off your debt, regardless if they are charged off or late, and start showing zero credit. Then start to branch out with small credit purchases and build your way up. I've done this but its taken about 5 years to get to a better place. No quick gimmicks that I'm aware of.
  2. They are pretty much universally a scam. Get your free credit report from annualcreditreport.com. Dispute anything inaccurate yourself. No one can do a better job than yourself. Then pay all your bills on time. Your credit score will rise with time. There are no shortcuts.
  3. What the law one can do is get your dispute on the record. Most of the time, the only dispute is not having money. So, it is a scam because it is a contract law issue, which most people don't have. If you have a good dispute, then a creditor can ignore the negative aspects and that is to be the repair. These lawyers like low level losers who can't make it closing a home sale, so they branch into debt, credit repair or telemarketer debt collectors.
  4. I would say try to do it your self because u pay more to a company when u can do it yourself..
  5. Not saying much just visit http://www.ezconsolidation.com/ You will get the answer of your question. And it will be helpful to you.
  6. If you really want to repair your credit as badly as you say you do, then the first step is to avoid credit repair services. They don't do anything anymore special than you can do on your own. The first thing that you need to know that knowledge is power. In order to fix your credit, you should know how your credit is scored and how it affects you 1. Payment history- 35% 2. Total debt owed to avialable credit ratio-30% 3. Length of time establishing credit-15% 4. Types of credit established-10% 5. Inquiries and New accounts-10% With that said, there's 2 things when it comes to bad debts and collection items that you should be aware of, the FCRA and statute of limitations. These are 2 diffferent things. The FCRA(Fair Credit Reporting Act) is the timeframe that negative items can remain on your report which is 7½ years from the date it first went deliquent. For example if a debt first became delinquent July 10, 2000 the legal limit that the debt can be reported would be January 10, 2008. Also, there is a seperate statute of limitations that varies by state on how long a debt can be legally enforced. This is different from the FCRA, because depending on which state you live in the statute may or may not expire before the FCRA. here's a link for that http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml Another important thing to know is that negative items that are less than 2 years old are hurting your score the most. It's possible that you can settle much older debts for far less in exchange for getting them removed from your report altogether. This is called a "pay to delete". I posted several links explaining this in detail http://www.creditinfocenter.com/debt/settle_debts.shtml http://www.creditinfocenter.com/debt/neg_rating_after_settle.shtml http://www.creditinfocenter.com/debt/CanCreditorSue4SettlementDifferences.shtml http://www.creditinfocenter.com/debt/ActualDebtSuccesses.shtml http://www.creditinfocenter.com/debt/debt-negotiation.php There's sites like the one I posted along with a few more than can help you repair your credit cheaper and easier than you would if you paid out of the pocket.
  7. There's a ton of companies out there, just check with the better business bureau to b sure they're legit. U only need their help if u hv trouble with ur credit report ie> someone else has opened acct's in ur name n charged up cards or taken out loans, etc.. If ur report is accurate then these companies can't improve ur rating. If u do hv acct's on ur report that r not ur's, u can take care of it urself. My husband is a victim of credit fraud n I hv cleared his report of dozens of fraudulent charges. Also, a good resource is... http://debt.knowledged.info/credit_card.html Hope that helps.
