Can I bring legal action to an attorney that promised to help me with credit repair, and has bounced? I paid $300 to an attorney that works with a real estate firm specializing in credit repair, by disputing and of such nature. He hasn't done anything, he is now unable to be reached? Took my money and left but still around. Can I bring legal action to him? (His company states that he's doing it on his own). I need a good attorney to help me out, what kind of attorney could help me in this case? Please help me.

Credit Repair? Hello, I am trying to get financed for a mazad miata. The salesman I have been working with indicated that because of several dings on my credit report he could get me financed but only with about 5K down. He advised me that he knew someone who could legally dispute alot of the dings and get them removed from my credit report. He claims he was able to get his own scroe raised above 700 points and said he could show me proof of that. My question is it worth going to see him to get more information on repairing my credit. He said it would only cost about 300-500 dollars and would only take about 45-60 days. Is it that easy to legally dispute debts and get them removed from my credit report. Am I looking at hidden charges?

Credit Repair? I recently stopped paying my credit card and car payments for about 4 months to catch up on my mortgage payment. My mortgage and my car payments are now caught up. I plan on paying off 4/6 of my credit cards in the next month due to them having lower balances. The other two I plan on making a fairly large payment and then continuing with the monthly payment. Credit Repair? I had a credit card go into collections 18 months ago. I settled for payment less than full with the condition that It would be considered on my credit report as Closed Paid in Full.
